Baayay

Baayay supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families through culturally responsive, trauma-informed and community-led services.

We work alongside families, kinship networks, carers, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and other service partners to strengthen wellbeing, culture, connection and family stability.

Our focus is on supporting children and young people in out-of-home care, those at risk of entering care, and families involved with child protection systems — particularly across regional, rural and underserved communities.

Creating Stronger Futures

Baayay aims to strengthen the wellbeing, safety and future opportunities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families.

We support stronger family, kinship and community connections while helping children remain safely connected to culture, identity and belonging.

Through early intervention, culturally safe support and stronger local services, we work to improve stability, build community capability and help reduce the overrepresentation of Aboriginal children in out-of-home care.
